Because a laser pulse only treats follicles that are actively growing, near-permanent results take a series of sessions. Most guests need between 6 and 16 treatments, with the majority finishing in 10 or fewer.

Sessions are usually spaced 4 to 8 weeks apart. Your technician will recommend your next appointment after your first visit.

Avoid waxing or plucking for about four weeks beforehand — laser needs the hair shaft to work.

Come in clean-shaven: shave the day before a morning appointment, or that morning for an afternoon one, so your skin has time to settle. Cleanse off makeup, creams and oils, apply SPF 30 or higher, and keep the area out of the sun before and after.

If you arrive unshaven we won't be able to treat you — lasering unshaved skin can damage it.

Most guests describe each pulse as a rubber band snapping against the skin. It passes quickly, and the Dynamic Cooling built into our Candela system keeps it manageable.

If you'd prefer extra comfort, a topical numbing cream can be applied before your appointment. We carry it at the spa, and it's also available over the counter at most pharmacies.

Yes. The Candela Gentle Pro system is safe across skin tones, and your technician customises every setting to your skin type. Grey and very light blonde hair typically won't respond well, as the laser targets pigment in the hair.

Either. Booking online holds your reservation with a card, but you're not charged upfront. After your first treatment you can pay as you go, or buy a six-pack at the discounted rate and draw from it at checkout.

Six-packs require full payment upfront, are non-refundable, must be used by the same person on the same area, and expire after three years.

You'll complete intake forms before your first visit that screen for contraindications. If laser isn't safe for you, you won't be charged anything.

Common reasons to reschedule include recent sun burn, active infection at the site, pregnancy, photosensitising medication, recent Accutane or chemical peels, and treatment over tattoos or hairy moles. Your technician will review the full list with you.

Yes. Some redness or mild tenderness may linger for a day or two, but it rarely interrupts anything. A cool compress helps, and swelling generally settles within a few hours.

Afterwards, keep sunblock on the area and skip abrasive cleansers for a few days.
